Introduction
Some groups are more vulnerable to school exclusion than others, with some groups being consistently overrepresented in national exclusion statistics. Gypsy/Roma, Irish traveller, and Black Caribbean ethnic groups have the highest rates for exclusion. It is is important that schools, local authorities and local partners work together to understand what lies behind local trends.
